Big homes, big loads
A large Reedy Creek home might run ducted air conditioning across several zones, a pool with heating, a home theatre, a wine fridge or cellar cooling, outdoor kitchens, and one or two electric vehicles. That adds up to serious electrical load. Many of these homes were built with single-phase supply and a switchboard sized for how people lived twenty or thirty years ago.

Acreage features
Parts of Reedy Creek feel more rural than suburban, with bush blocks, long driveways and outbuildings. Gate motors, driveway lighting, sheds and pool houses all need power, often a long way from the main board. We run sub-mains and install sub-boards where needed, with cables sized for the distance.
Storm season on the ridges
Homes on the higher ground get the brunt of summer storms. Lightning and surges can damage automation systems, gate motors and pool equipment, which are expensive to replace. Surge protection at the main switchboard is a sensible addition for homes with a lot of electronics. After a storm, if something isn’t working, our fault finding service will track down the cause.
